If your skin is showing both the properties of oily and dry skin types, most probably you might have a "combination skin". Everyone has a unique skin type, some commonly referred skin types are Oily, Normal/Combination, and Dry.

Determine your skin type easily

1.Bare-faced method

Cleanse your face thoroughly with a mild cleanser and gently pat dry. After 30 minutes, examine your nose, chin, cheeks, and forehead for any gleam. Check whether your skin feels dry, especially if you make any facial expressions. If it feels tight, it is likely dry skin and if you can see a glow on your nose and forehead, your skin is most likely normal/combination. If there is shine on your cheeks in addition to your forehead and nose, you may have oily skin.

2.Blotting sheet method.

Gently rub your face with blotting paper and hold the sheet up to the light to determine how much oil is visible. No oil resembles dry skin! If you get oil after rubbing your nose and forehead then you have a normal/combination and if it seems soaked in oil, you have oily skin!
